This is a clock that shows the Moon Phase. It has one hand, custom made in the shape of an Apollo capsule at the Moon end and the Space Shuttle in low Earth orbit. This makes one revolution every 29.5 days, the length of the Lunar cycle. There are 29 stars around the Earth to approximate how many days we are in the cycle.
The case is 3D printed plastic, while the face is laser cut and engraved; made from acrylic and wood. It splits in half with a twist motion to unscrew the case and takes a normal AA battery (not supplied, since Etsy does not allow us to ship batteries; sorry). This silver color is a shiny printer filament, which has a subtle lilac-purple highlight. The face is about 3.5” in diameter, whereas the whole clock is about 5” across and front-to-back.
