This is a clock whose design is heavily inspired by the Mid-Century Modern style starburst clocks from the 1950s. It uses black & blue acrylic, blue & silver shiny sparkly glitter acrylic and silver hardware to make a retro-yet-modern statement.
The clock is made of laser cut acrylic, with the back piece in plywood. They are bolted together with the quartz clock mechanism, which takes one AA battery, and also with the ring of nuts and bolts around the edge of the face. The hands are metal; painted silver. There's a hanger on the back of the mechanism so you can hang the clock on the wall.
The clock will be shipped with the long black blades removed, in the interest of keeping shipping costs down - otherwise the box would be huge. A bag of hardware is supplied, along with the 1/16" Allen key for the bolts. You'll need to slot the blades into the holes and add the nut/bolt/washers for each blade. It's super easy and only takes a few minutes.
I leave the masking on the back of the black blades deliberately; that way; should any of them get scratched, you can take it out, remove the masking and put it back in with the scratch-free side showing.
It is almost 18" diameter when fully assembled. The face is about 6" diameter.
